Today Pastor Jim begins a new series of sermons from the Old Testament book of Jeremiah. The title of the series is “The Meaning of the Symbols in the Book of Jeremiah,” beginning with two symbols named in Jeremiah 1:11-14: the branch of an almond tree and a pot of boiling water.
Today is our first Sunday in the gymnasium as the narthex and parts of the sanctuary are being remodeled. Kicking off our children’s ministry program, Pastor Jim encourages us to “go back” to as we were as children: trusting, exuberant, uninhibited, accepting, and forgiving!
