Rosewood Reformed Church was officially organized as a congregation within the Reformed Church in America, on May 21, 1967. The first phase of our building was completed in 1972, we added a Gymnasium in 1974, an expansion of the education wing in 1978, addition of new offices, elevator, coatroom and nursery in 1989.
Most recently, in September 2017, construction began to open up our narthex (lobby), update bathrooms making them handicap accessible, add a cafe, a new elevator and kitchen updates. Our sanctuary was also re-carpeted and the pews were refurbished and reupholstered. The new construction was dedicated in May 2018.
Our facilities include a sanctuary with inspiring contemporary stained glass windows, two nurseries, an educational wing with a full gymnasium and a one-of-a-kind mural as well as 32 classrooms, an office wing and a youth building.
Our stained glass area around our Information Center / Children’s Check-In center is a dedication to our former pastor of 25 years, Rev. Richard VanderKlok.
We also added a separate building for our youth in the fall of 1994. This not only serves the youth, but also many community events. In the Summer of 2016 the Youth Building was updated with new paint, carpet, and furniture.
