Making Disciples Who Make Disciples

Sunday School

SUNDAY SCHOOL – not meeting in person, see below for current alternatives.

Due to limited space and inability to keep social distance in the Sunday School rooms, the decision has been made to suspend in-person kids Sunday School till January. This does not mean that Sunday School is cancelled! Instead Rosewood will be providing each family with a kids devotional entitled How Great Is Our God: 100 Indescribable Devotions About God and Science by Louie Giglio. The devotional has short and easy reads that help kids connect the real world to God through science topics.
So how does it work?

Each family that registers for Sunday School this year from ages 3yr-5th grade will receive a book and tracker to record their readings. If families can complete 5-6 readings a week, they will complete all 100 devotions by the end of December. At the end of each week we are asking kids to record and explain which devotion was their favorite, and what they learned on the trackers sheet.

For every devotion completed, kids will receive a ticket towards a monthly raffle, and also an end of semester raffle by turning in their tracker at the end of the month. To earn extra raffle tickets, the kids can memorize the verses in the devotionals, or for younger kids the ABC verses found on the Rosewood Kids Resource Page. Videos of kids reciting their verses can be uploaded to our Kids resource page as well.

Middle School and High School

In place of traditional middle and high school Sunday School, students are filling out sermon interactives and submitting them to Elizabeth. At the end of each month, there will be a drawing for a $5 McDonald’s gift card for both a middle and a high school student who have submitted a completed interactive that month. If you are new and would like to receive middle or high school interactives, contact us at rosewood@rosewoodchurch.org and we will connect you to our Director of Students Ministries, Elizabeth.
