Baptism

Interested in being baptized, or having a child baptized? Life is full of next steps—each one bringing us closer to the God who created us and loves us. If you’ve decided to follow Christ, one of the most meaningful next steps you can take is baptism.

Baptism is a symbol of what Jesus has done for us.
When we go down into the water, it represents Jesus’ death and the covering of our sin. Coming up out of the water reminds us of His resurrection—victory over death and the promise of new life.

Baptism is going public with your faith.
It’s a chance to celebrate with family and friends, letting others know about the hope you’ve found in Jesus. Invite those close to you—they’ll want to be part of this moment.

Baptism follows the example of Jesus.
Jesus Himself was baptized before beginning His ministry (Matthew 3). Later, He commanded His followers to baptize others (Matthew 28). Baptism continues that calling today as His love spreads throughout the world.

Infant Baptism.
At Rosewood, we also celebrate infant baptism, where parents present their children before God and the church, affirming their desire to raise them in faith until the child is able to make their own profession of faith. Tap here to message Austin.
